The demo ended up in the hands of Marvin Benefield, who recorded it in 1963 together with Baby let's play house, both songs ending up on the ABC-Paramount 45-10472 single, credited to Vince Everett, which was the screenname of Elvis in the 1957 movie Jailhouse rock.
In 1978 these songs were re-released on the LP Elvis always on my mind, the legend lives on together with other previously released Vince Everett songs, including 2 by a different singer calling himself Vince Everett!
